Why We’re Hosting This
Truly, Smack Dab wouldn’t be here without our community—and that includes the incredible nonprofits, organizers, and mission-driven partners we’ve supported over the years. In these times, building the world we want to see via our local communities is crucial. Over the past decade, we’ve donated roughly 10% of net profits to local and international organizations who are doing the daily work to heal and restore humanity and the planet.
A Dough-nation Day is our chance to say thank you, raise awareness for their work, and give our guests a way to directly support them… AND eat pizza! (because the revolution needs more yes/and energy!)
Community Mixer + Pizza Fundraiser (open to the public)
4:30–6:30 PM
This open-to-all dough-nation mixer is your chance to:
Connect with local nonprofits and learn about the work they’re doing. If you’ve been looking to get involved at the local level, this is a great place to start!
Meet like-hearted neighbors and community members who also want to make change
Enjoy two slices of Detroit-style pizza + a beverage for just $8
Choose a cause you care about and drop your receipt at their table
Private Dinner for Participating Organizations
6:30PM–8:30PM
After the public mixer, we’ll host an invite-only evening for participating organizations, local mutual aid groups, and community organizers. This is a dedicated time for them to:
Celebrate their work and contributions (and finally be the ones who are taken care of!)
Share ideas and stories in a warm, welcoming space
Explore new collaborations with other local changemakers who share similar values and visions for community care
At the end of the night, we’ll tally up the receipts and Smack Dab will donate your purchases directly to the organization you choose!
It’s a simple meal, a powerful impact.
